Interpretica at UPTEC NON-STOP 2026
We pitched Midair at UPTEC NON-STOP 2026 in Porto and met the local startup community.
On 28 October we stepped away from our screens for an afternoon and joined UPTEC NON-STOP 2026 in Porto.
NON-STOP brings together companies and projects from the UPTEC community for an afternoon of pitches, exhibitions and conversations. UPTEC is the science and technology park of the University of Porto. For us, it was a chance to take the stage and introduce Interpretica and Midair to a room full of founders, teams, investors and people who follow what is being built in Porto.
Taking Midair to the stage
We used our pitch to talk about Midair, the product we have been building for complex software systems.
Midair connects static code analysis, distributed testing and runtime monitoring. Engineers use it to find, reproduce and investigate software failures without piecing the story together from separate tools.
Over the past months we worked on the product itself, and also on how to explain it clearly. An event like this tests both.
You only have a few minutes on stage, so there is no room for a long technical explanation. You have to get to the point: what problem we solve, who has it, and why our approach makes sense.
That is useful practice when you build something technically complex.
Outside the pitch
The rest of the afternoon was just as useful. We saw what other companies in the UPTEC ecosystem are working on and met people from the local startup community. Some of those conversations would never have happened over email or LinkedIn.
There was also an exhibition of UPTEC's cultural and creative projects, then an informal community gathering. It was a nice change of pace after an afternoon of startup pitches.
For a small team, talking about the product in person is always useful. You hear different questions. You see which parts people understand at once and which still need a better explanation.
What comes next
That feedback matters even more now. The public launch of Midair is close, in November. After that we go to Web Summit in Lisbon, where we will present the product again to a much bigger crowd.

UPTEC NON-STOP was a good stop along the way. Thanks to the UPTEC team for having us, and to everyone we met and talked to during the event.
See you at the next one.
